Alonda West-Johnson is an author, photographer, and storyteller whose work lives at the intersection of artistry, empowerment and self-love. A proud Air Force veteran, she blends attention to details and creativity to craft experiences that inspire women to see themselves in their fullest bloom.
With over a decade of creative entrepreneurship, Alonda is the founder of LaLovely Photography, a Richmond, VA based photography business specializing in boudoir, bridal and branding imagery. Her lens captures not just the beauty of her subjects, but the depth, vulnerability and strength within them.
Alonda’s love for storytelling began as a young girl, filling notebooks with poems, short stories, and dreams of becoming a world-renowned journalist. She studied journalism at Howard University and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Media Arts from Tulane University, shaping the foundation for her work today.
Whether behind the camera, on the page, or leading creative projects, her mission is simple: to create spaces where women feel seen, celebrated, and empowered to live unapologetically.
